Thank you for your interest in becoming a member of Women in Business – San Diego (“WIB”). WIB is a “no guilt” group of fun, hard-working career women who like to get together to connect and socialize. We are friends and colleagues who applaud our successes in the business world but appreciate even more the need to escape from “the real world”. We are not a networking group; we are a social group at our core and make organic connections as we get to know each other.
Our Membership Process:
Are you interested in becoming a member of WIB?
-Reach out to connect@wibsd.org and tell us about yourself and why you are interested in joining WIB. Or you can visit our calendar of events and RSVP for an upcoming event.
-Attend 2 events where you’ll meet others in the group. We believe it’s important for us to meet each other to help determine if WIB is mutually a good fit. Check out our Member Spotlight to learn more about our members.
-A Membership Committee chairwoman will be in touch with you to explain what WIB is all about and answer any questions you may have. She will inform you on next steps.
-Apply for membership by filling out the membership application and paying the annual dues based on your membership level. Your application will be reviewed by the Membership Committee, and you will receive a response on your acceptance.
-You will receive a welcome letter letting you know of your acceptance, and you are free to attend all events. You will need to RSVP to each event you plan to attend by submitting your RSVP through our weekly eblast or by visiting our calendar of events.
Membership Levels:
Please note our fiscal year begins in July and anyone who joins throughout the year will pay a prorated rate.
Executive Member ($250 annually):
Executive members are the core of our organization and include women who are actively engaged in a corporate (whether for profit or non-profit), educational, entrepreneurial or professional career who are successful and accomplished in their business lives. This includes women in the non-profit, educational or corporate world, as well as entrepreneurial women, all of whom are well established in their field and looking for a social experience with other successful women.
Associate Member ($175 annually):
Associate members are just starting out, still in graduate school, changing careers, or are in the early stages of starting their own business (later in life or otherwise) and are looking for a professional group of women to socialize with and learn from.
Sustaining Member ($175 annually):
Sustaining members are retired from their career and would have otherwise qualified as an Executive member during their career. They may or may not have been members of WIB in the past. They take pleasure in being around accomplished women who enjoy having fun with one another.
